Gerber/Hart Library and Archives announces the formation of a Board Search Task Force to recruit new board and committee members. The chair of the Task Force is attorney Rosemary Mulryan, a former Gerber/Hart board president. Other members of the Task Force are Carrie Barnett, a former Gerber/Hart board chair, Kit Duffy, Mayor Harold Washington's first liaison to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, and Donald Friedman, a realtor with more than two decades of experience serving the LGBT community.
The Task Force is recruting individuals to serve on the Gerber/Hart board and its committees who have skills in the following areas: Fundraising, including donor development, corporate sponsorships, and grant writing; human relations (HR), customer relations, accounting, legal, library administration, event planning and project management.
